On Tuesday, AlienVault, a provider of security management tools and threat intelligence solutions, announced that they had closed their Series E funding round of $52 million, bringing the total amount of funds raised to $116 million.
AlienVault specializes in a variety of security services including Behavioral monitoring, intrusion detection, asset discovery and vulnerability assessment; all of which builds their Unified Security Management Platform. Serving customers worldwide, AlienVault claims to analyze data submitted from over 26,000 users across 140 different countries, making their business a large-scale and international operation.
In addition to providing enterprise-level security products AlienVault also provides network security solutions, threat management services and compliance audits to better serve their customers and clients. According to AlienVault, they set themselves apart from the competition by not only providing continuous threat intelligence, but also fast deployment options and the ability to run multiple security functions without the need for multiple consoles.
It will be interesting to watch AlienVault in the upcoming months as they continue to gain momentum in their funding operations and continue to push forward towards becoming a publicly traded company.
